Vacation in Seychelles
|
|
Beach Holiday With Excursions |
 |
While on this tour, you stay in some of the
most luxurious hotels in the archipelago of the 115 islands of
Seychelles. Accommodation is based on either Banyan Tree Seychelles or
Le Meridiens Fisherman’s Cove. |
 |
This is an island-hoping tour that will reveal
the splendid and exotic charm of the Seychelles. You will visit the 3
main granite islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. All the islands are
splendid in their own right, one more exotic than the other, yet they
share a common denominator: lush tropical vegetation, lined by white
sandy beaches running down to crystal clear water in shades from
emerald green to dark blue. It is a sight which never fails to impress
the newly arrived traveler: beach after beach, sometimes appearing as
unending expanses of white sand and sometimes as rare white pearls
enclosed by small coves and lagoons. |
 |
On this tour, you visit the 2 main Islands of the 115 Islands that make up Seychelles.
Mahe, the main island of Seychelles covers roughly 150 square
kilometres and is 27 kilometres long and seven kilometres wide. The
highest point, Morne Seychellois, is 930 metres above sea level. Even
high up in the interior the roads are good. There are plenty of
opportunities for walks through winding paths to appreciate the lush
flora and fauna at close quarters, especially in the Morne Seychellois
National Park.
Praslin, the second-largest granite island of Seychelles is about 40
kilometres from Mahe. Praslin is not as mountainous as Mahe - the
highest point being 330 metres - but it has similarly great granite
outcrops surrounded by beautiful beaches, and a coral reef enclosing
the crystal-clear waters which are so typical of Seychelles.
|
 |
This short vacation in the Seychelles offers
you 5 nights stay at Berjaya Beau Vallon Beach Resort. During your stay
on Mahe you will sample the contrasts of Mahe and enjoy the
breathtaking features of the largest islands of Seychelles. You will
spend your time enjoying the beach and visit Mahe’s main
attractions including plants, fish , the market and the arts and craft
centres.

This
tour highlights the unique attractions of the most photographed island
in the Seychelles, La Digue, and also Cousin Island whose rich and
unique bird life has earned it the protection of Bird Life
International and Bird Life Seychelles.
Today, Cousin is also home to the near extinct Seychelles Brush
Warbler and is one of only three islands where the Seychelles Fody is
to be found. In addition, each year there is an estimated quarter of a
million seabirds breeding on the island, which is also an important
nesting ground for sea turtles.
Lying only half an hour’s boat trip from Praslin, La Digue is the
third major granite island and fourth largest and is famed for its
distinct brand of Creole architecture and also for the presence of
another very rare bird - the black Paradise Flycatcher - once thought
to be extinct.
Here, you will visit the L’Union Estate with its majestic
colonial house and learn how coconut is processed into copra and oil.
Only a stone’s throw away is where giant land tortoises are housed
beside an imposing granite boulder, beneath the protective branches of
an Indian Almond tree.
No trip is complete without the chance to swim at the
world-famous beach Anse Source d’Argent, the setting for many an
international film and prestigious advertising campaign.

Almost
a quarter of a century ago, the rich and unique bird life of this
island convinced naturalists that Cousin Island should be preserved for
posterity by placing it in the care of Bird Life International and Bird
Life Seychelles.
Today, amid an estimated quarter of a million seabirds that breed
there each year and a large number of nesting sea turtles, the island
is also home to the near extinct Seychelles Brush Warbler and is one of
only three islands where the Seychelles Fody is to be found.
